Support deVere Group’s marathon fundraising efforts
I’m delighted that so many members of the deVere Group’s Western Europe division are already getting involved with the soon-to-be launched ‘deVere Group Charitable Foundation’, a global ‘umbrella’ organisation which is to pull together the fundraising work carried out by the firm’s offices around the world and give grants to various selected charities and life-enhancing organisations.
As I write, teams in Malta and Paris are preparing to pound the streets of Malta in the 2013 Land Rover Malta Half Marathon on Sunday 24th February and the 2013 Semi Marathon de Paris on Sunday 3rd March.
And in a bid to raise more than £100,000 for the Foundation, deVere’s chief executive Nigel Green is to participate in BOTH events, which are just seven days apart, in an exciting back-to-back challenge.
It has also been confirmed that Alex Flynn, the Parkinson’s activist and deVere Group sponsorship beneficiary who has recently run 3,500 miles across the US to raise funds for research into the disease, will be joining Nigel and the team for the 21 kilometre run in Malta.
Those who are interested in sponsoring the deVere Group team should email the amount they wish to pledge and their contact details to: marathon@devere-group.com.
