As Guardian Wealth Management continue with their successful wider brand expansion plans, Chief Commercial Officer, Mike Coady, has confirmed the launch of its latest brand; GWM UK, a highly focused and specialist business unit based in the heart of Mayfair, London. The UK branch will fill a void created by what the GWM Group believe is a combination of international advisers who shy away from the provision of UK based financial advice, and a UK market that has shrunk significantly in the wake of the Retail Distribution Review.

Explaining the need for a UK branch designed for returning expats, Coady states:

“There are close to 500 international globally based planning firms, and over 97% of these have no ability to offer regulated ongoing advice or service to British expats when they choose to return home. The majority of internationally based advisers are geared up to provide offshore and localised solutions in the jurisdiction they are based, and can completely overlook the fact that a high proportion of British expats will return home later in their lifecycle.”

“These expats require extremely specialist financial advice, and as cross-border specialists, this is, naturally, a key market for us.  As the British economy continues to strengthen, demand from these individuals is predicted to increase.”

The UK branch will provide a full independent wealth management service to returning expats with a comprehensive review of all current overseas and internationally based policies as well as assessing the implications repatriation may have on their existing products.

This expansion will also lead to numerous new and extremely rewarding career opportunities, as GWM UK presents a further significant growth opportunity for the GWM Group.

GWM UK enhances its already robust position in the UK Financial Services Market, in addition to its other two UK based regulated brands, GWM Investment Management and GWM Financial Planning.
