It’s been a whirlwind last quarter for many reasons, not least because we’ve taken our training and development programme up to the next level.

Recently, I’ve visited deVere Switzerland (Neuchatel), deVere United Kingdom (London), deVere Spain (Madrid), deVere Italia (Milan) and deVere France (Paris) to carry out training events.  And there’s many more offices to follow on my agenda!

Training and development is the driving force of our global leadership position. And I’m delighted to note that this notion is a shared one, with every member of our teams embracing it with an enthusiasm and energy that’s right at the heart of keeping deVere Group the number one independent financial consultancy worldwide.

As an introduction for those of you who I’ll be seeing over the coming months, the training events cover the fundamentals of sales, advanced communication skills, extensive personal and professional development techniques, and much more.

The focus is on securing new business and retaining and servicing existing clients.  It’s fun too – plus  a few lessons learnt from my 16 years in onshore and international financial services to share with you.

Training, our way

Our training events are just one cog in a large training and development engine that gives deVere its unique drive for continual personal and business development.

Our teams now get one hour every day of dedicated in-office training with a senior member of staff, a live WebEx, or in group sessions.  There’s also the innovative Sales Mastery 360°, my weekly training hour broadcast live via the web. We’ve graduate training programmes in place that outperform anything our competition offers.  We actively encourage every adviser to achieve industry standard qualifications and more.

The results are evident.  Our desire to learn, to develop, to work hard, even at times out of our comfort zone, is paying massive dividends.  As we grow and our client base grows so do the rewards that come with being the world’s number one in expat advice.
