Simon Chrystal, Managing Director of Workplace Solutions, was recently interviewed at the studios in The Telegraph’s London headquarters to discuss the forthcoming pension reforms.

Part of series of interviews with an elite panel of leading figures, including the Pensions Minister, Steve Webb MP, Simon discusses how the radical overhaul of the pension systems – coming into effect on 6th April – will effect individuals, employers and the pension industry.

He stresses how people need to be fully aware of what the reforms entail, what their choices are, and the implications of these choices. He also highlights that Workplace Solutions has a new generation of adviser for “the era of individual responsibility.”

Speaking recently about Workplace Solutions, which provides highly specialist advice to corporations’ current and former employees to help them meet their long-term financial objectives, Simon said: “There is soaring demand for a fresh approach to traditional retirement planning strategies.  This has primarily been driven by the new Pensions Bill, initiated from the Freedom and Choice agenda, as introduced by Chancellor George Osborne in March 2014.  This will include pension transfers where an individual looks to access the new freedoms available within defined contribution schemes, but requires an individual wishing to transfer out of a defined benefit scheme to take independent financial advice.”

Workplace Solutions was launched in 2014 by deVere United Kingdom, part of deVere Group, one of the world’s largest independent financial advisory organisations.
