Tony Williams, Area Manager, deVere Switzerland, Geneva
From time to time it’s worth reminding ourselves of the quality and talent of our financial consultants and the way in which our world-leading organisation can fast-track their careers.
A great example of this is Tony Williams who, this year, became Area Manager of our operations in Geneva.
Anthony joined British Telecom Corporate Finance straight from college and from there was promoted to Financial Manager; a role that entailed the management of corporate finance for BT plc and partners and one that he did for a period of 28 years and 5 months.
Joining us in 2009, Tony was soon to find out things move a little quicker at deVere, where talent is recognised, encouraged and promoted.
Tony’s first role with us was as Senior Partner for three years two months at deVere Switzerland’s Geneva office. Here, he was recognised for his technical knowledge, patience and experience along with his ability to nurture, develop and coach new starters.
In July 2012, he was promoted to Wealth Manager, then six months later to Senior Wealth Manager and finally to his current position of Area Manager in Geneva in January this year.
Tony’s specialisations include retirement planning, education planning, life insurance and assurance, medium and long term savings, lump sum investment strategies, investment and security portfolio performance, tax efficient savings, portfolio bonds and estate planning.
His honours, awards and certifications are equally as impressive and are something that deVere places great emphasis on achieving as part of every financial consultant’s career path.
Away from work, Tony is a dedicated family man with sons working in New Zealand, France and one about to turn adult who lives at home in Geneva. They all share a passion for skiing for which Geneva is particularly well located. His youngest son was a member of the British Children’s Ski Team.
