International Adviser’s Gulf Expert Forum

I’m thrilled to be attending International Adviser’s Gulf Expert Forum next month, together with chief executives of some of the largest financial firms in the United Arab Emirates, to discuss the future of the financial advice industry.

Taking place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dubai on Wednesday 13^th November, it’s set to be an exciting event.

What’s it about?

I’m very much looking forward to an animated discussion with my peers regarding the financial advice market in the UAE, a major global financial hub, focusing on the current situation and what the future holds for the industry.

We’ll be looking at the exciting opportunities available to brokers in the United Arab Emirates, and on the other side of the coin, we’ll focus on the various challenges they may encounter.  The panel will consider the varying individual requirements of clients in this region, as well as the constantly changing rules and regulations.

There will also be a series of other events and presentations taking place throughout the day from sponsors; BlackRock, Schroders, Natixis, Mashreq, Brooks Macdonald and Creechurch, along with an address by guest speaker, Simon Williams, the Chief Economist for HSBC.

Launched in 2006, International Adviser is a monthly news magazine, targeting financial intermediaries who specialise in cross-border products and services, advice and management to expatriates and in international investors all over the globe.

I’m proud to be a part of the IA intermediary panel, along with other high-profile, experienced investment and wealth management professionals, to offer advice and guidance with regards to the magazine editorial content.

I was also honoured to be a judge for the 2013 International Adviser Awards which took place earlier this year.  The primary objective of the panel at the IA Awards is to offer an informed, expert opinion on which financial companies are performing well and offering the best products and services to clients.
