deVere Group Charitable Foundation off to a flying start
I’d like to congratulate all deVere Group team members who participated in either last Sunday’s Semi Marathon de Paris or the 2013 Land Rover Half Marathon of Malta, which took place seven days earlier.
Special recognition must also go to deVere Group chief executive, Nigel Green, who took part in both of these high-profile 21 kilometre events, despite his hectic international schedule and despite suffering from an injured calf muscle.
Thanks to the runners’ incredible dedication and commitment, and of course the boundless generosity of everyone who sponsored them, deVere Group staffers have collectively raised more than €127,000.
This money will go directly to the soon-to-be officially launched deVere Group Charitable Foundation. This UK-registered, globally-operating charity has ambitious plans to distribute over £1 million pounds annually to good causes in the areas in which the firm operates – and so clearly the cash already donated is an amazing start to what promises to be a truly inspiring, life-enhancing organisation.
Everyone should be very proud of what’s already been achieved. And this is only the beginning.
